Breadcrumbs or a breadcrumb trail is a navigation tool in user interface that allows you to go to a particular element in the chain using shortcuts and keep track of your progress. They demonstrate hierarchy of the current page in relation to the website's structure.
1. Smarketly has two types of breadcrumbs: one in the Drag and Drop Builder and another in the platform itself.
Let's take a look at the first type.
2. In the Drag and Drop Builder, once you select any element, like a Header, click the Pencil icon or go directly to the Inspector tab to access the breadcrumb trail.
In this case, breadcrumbs will enable you to select an element that contains the element you selected and sort of go backwards.
Tip: By clicking "header" in the breadcrumbs trail, you will select not the "h1" header, but the element that contains it.
2. In the platform, you can keep track of your progress and move between steps as you are setting up pages, creatives and other marketing tools for your campaigns.
For example, click "Template" in the breadcrumbs to skip the "Appearance" step or click "back to popups" to go to the very beginning of the process.
Just click on the part of the breadcrumbs that you want to go to and it'll take you there!
